Benefits of non-stitching
Stitched printhead has natural defect

Most, if not all, of today's 500+ nozzle piezo printhead on the market are manufactured by stitching multiple pieces of piezo materials together. It could be two pieces of 256 nozzle piezo or 4 pieces of the 128 nozzle heads.

This stitching together could potentially leave small gaps in nozzle alignment, cause banding when printing - a sort of natural defect for the stitched printhead. This defect, if present, will need to be corrected through much engineering work - either through repeated and diligent mechanical adjustments or by complicated writing software codes to adjust for the gap. This can suck up much engineering time and cause delay in product release.

Worse yet, they could escape your quality control process and show up at customer site, creating a customer service and/or credibility issue for you.

SII Printek cured the defect for the printer manufacturers of the world

When SII Printek first started research and development of the 510 plus printhead, they realized this natural defect was causing much heartache for printer manufacturers. And they made a decision to solve this problem once and for all, and took on the challenge of creating the largest print swath with no-banding.

It took SII Printek manufacturing engineers more than two yeas to build the first prototype of the single piece non-stitched 510 nozzle printhead. It took another three years to perfect the printhead.
